Bathurst Belongs to the Fords!!!jawaproMon 08/10/2007 08:44 AM
The third best sporting event in the world (only beaten by the WRC and Dakar Rallies) has run again.
And this time there's even more reason to celebrate - because Fords claimed all three podium places!
This time it went down to a real nail-biter. A late pace car section meant that everyone was bunched up for the last 12 laps - and a little rain made the track slippery to boot. Fantastic racing!
So to recap - this year Ford achieved 1,2,3 at Bathurst. Craig Lowndes and his team have won Bathurst twice in a row, and this year they claimed both Bathurst and Sanddown (the other enduro race). Great day for all Ford fans.

Incredible VideojawaproThu 04/10/2007 11:02 AM
One word - WOW.
And not World Of Warcraft - wow as in "Thats Blooming Awesome!".
I found this video when I was at work and looking for something. Yes, it was work related (the search, not the video). I was looking for a script to delete files older than a 60 days in a directory on our Linux server. Anyway - I found the script, but the same page also had a link to this video.
I havent worked out how to steal the video yet - so I'll just link it for now. But it's one awesome video.
We've all seen this sort of thing in movies about mad professors and such like - but this is just insane - and it seems to work. I dont know how many takes it took to get right - but it's incredible all the same.
Video can be found here...

John Howard names his successorjawaproWed 03/10/2007 10:19 PM
For those of you who are worried about who will replace John Howard as Prime Minister of Australia if he is re-elected and retires before the end of the term - well it's been announced.
John Howard has offically anounced that Master Chief (From HALO) will replace him as Prime Minister when he retires.
LOL!
I stumbled across these photos on the internode games site.
Obviously a PR shoot. I seriously doubt that the PM goes home after work and plays some Halo 3 before bed.
But at least they did some research. They got some chicks in to play against him on the xbox - because everyone knows that chicks play more games than guys - right?
And sorry about the lack of updates about the Lego movie thing. I sent the 'almost finished' thing off to Microsoft - and they decided it was too long and wanted me to cut a heap out. I countered their offer - and they agreed to keep that movie as it was, but I'd make a much shorter 'trailer' that they could use for people with short attention spans - but my 'real' movie would stay intact.
And Woody has been working on some music for them - so stay tuned. As soon as I'm happy with them, I'll upload them here.

Axon LanjawaproMon 01/10/2007 09:53 PM
Well, after spending every waking moment (and some that should have been sleeping) on my lego movie each evening for the last week and a bit, I was able to relax on Saturday and go to the next Axon LAN.
Once again, a lot of fun. I played yet more Savage. Man that's a sweet game. But I think that thus far I've managed to lose every single match I've played in. So in other words, when you join us in a game of Savage - you're better off not on my team.
And for those geeks who were interested (didnt seem to be many) there was a projector showing the Grand Final. Seems most of the country finds that more exciting than LANs - strange...
There were some very happy CATs supporters at work on Monday though.
And as my server still isnt finished, my laptop (Jade) filled in for this LAN. Worked nicely - but there was a very ugly mess of cables.

Lack of updatesjawaproFri 28/09/2007 10:53 PM
According to Mr Turkeybrain - there hasnt been an update here for ages. Its only been a couple of days - but fair enough.
Lately I've been working on the lego movie for Microsoft. And that's about all I've been doing. It takes a LONG time to make a movie this way. And thats being pretty slash happy about it - if you were doing a good job... well, I'd probably have less than 10 seconds of footage by now.
Anywy - as it stands, the movie is pretty much finished. Just a little tyding up and some music (which Woody is composing). I'll show if off here shortly. At the moment I'm preparing for a LAN for tomorrow. After a week and a bit of pure lego-ness - I feel like doing something different for a while.
There - happy now Turkey?
