Axon Lan

Well, after spending every waking moment (and some that should have been sleeping) on my lego movie each evening for the last week and a bit, I was able to relax on Saturday and go to the next Axon LAN.

Once again, a lot of fun. I played yet more Savage. Man that's a sweet game. But I think that thus far I've managed to lose every single match I've played in. So in other words, when you join us in a game of Savage - you're better off not on my team.

 

And for those geeks who were interested (didnt seem to be many) there was a projector showing the Grand Final. Seems most of the country finds that more exciting than LANs - strange...

There were some very happy CATs supporters at work on Monday though.

 

And as my server still isnt finished, my laptop (Jade) filled in for this LAN. Worked nicely - but there was a very ugly mess of cables.

here's a question,

 

Does Limping dick go there? oh i mean limpingforth. same thing really.

 

If so, how hard would it be to ban him? I'd watch out, don't bend over in the shower.

 

He was one of those Poof's from Nexus. personally he's rather immature (ignoring what i said above which is immature)

main reason that guy hates me is that i told him to f**k off when he went to ask my ex girlfriend out and asked me if it was ok. (2 weeks after we broke up).. Then again didn't really like the guy anyway.

Anyway. bad thing about coming back to Tas, seeing all those jobless loosers you hated before leaving (not the nice jobless loosers that i do enjoy seeing :P )

Oh i suddenly remember savage.

Hmm i never got to really play it though, no one really played it at lans much. Would be great to have a go.

Oh.

Well, my freight is now sorted. I am flying my stuff over, it will take about 2 weeks. which is good compared to 3 months by shipping.

I think (not 100) sure, think that i might even take my pc apart and pack each part instead. This would reduce space and i'd buy a new case when i got to Launceston. (all cases are the same really. specialy as my power supply was bought seperetly.)

I was just looking at your picture with your PC and monitor.
I suddenly realised that your keyboard is soo much bigger then your monitor. and i look at mine and my keyboard is smaller then my monitor. about 3 cm's shorter then the monitor.

Gosh you can't really tell how large a screen is until your compare like that. I do admit though, i can watch a movie and surf the web on this screen, that makes a huge difference.

lanning will be good with this screen can't wait to try it out.

Another note,

there seems to be a LOT of girls there. Or guys who really need hair cuts as long hair went out of fashion in 1983.

Lol - there were a fair few of both.

A few girls were there to play - and a few were there because their boyfriends were playing - and one pair of loosers (guy and girlfriend) were there without a computer. They guy was dressed as a goth - and the guy sitting next to me wanted to go and thump him. Emos arent exactly popular.

Savage is sweet. You need a few people to make it worthwhile - but it's a heap of fun.

And yes, my screen is only a 17 inch - but it's enough for me. I dont really think there's much point in going larger.

My TV would be better bigger - but my monitor is fine.

hmm.. i really love my 22 inch. i think because i watch loads and loads and loads of movies, that it just makes sence for me.

At work i use a 19 inch, and i thought that would be big enough, but really... well... its not. I did have a 19 inch with my last machine, but decided to upgrade when i upgraded my pc.
22 inch, hmm its just right. 30 inch + will be nice and large instead of 2 screens to do multible things.

plus im going blind.
