Bathurst Belongs to the Fords!!!

The third best sporting event in the world (only beaten by the WRC and Dakar Rallies) has run again.

And this time there's even more reason to celebrate - because Fords claimed all three podium places!

This time it went down to a real nail-biter. A late pace car section meant that everyone was bunched up for the last 12 laps - and a little rain made the track slippery to boot. Fantastic racing!

So to recap - this year Ford achieved 1,2,3 at Bathurst. Craig Lowndes and his team have won Bathurst twice in a row, and this year they claimed both Bathurst and Sanddown (the other enduro race). Great day for all Ford fans.

And you failed to mention that because of this win, Whincup (Lowndes's teammate) is now in 1st place in the championship in front of (believe it or not) Lowndes, dropping both Rick Kelly and Garth Tander down to 3rd and 4th. Indeed such a good day (I hate Holden)

But I also must mention that Lowndes needs a new sponsor. Who in their right mind would paint a Ford that colour?! But anyway.

The colour scheme is a little too 'holdenish' for my likings too. Not that it looks too bad though.

But I still think the Green-eyed monster is about the best a V8 has ever looked!

And sorry about missing the part about the championship. I forgot about that part.

I've had great fun rubbing yesterday in the noses of all my Holden-loving friends.

By the way - I hope you're feeling better now. Sounds like you had a pretty lame weekend - even though it was Bathurst. (refering to the fact he was sick - no implication that he likes Holdens is intended)

Just as well that wasn't being implied! Buying a Holden is the stupidest thing our family has ever done (ask any of us, all will say so, and so you know Dad has actually owned 50:50 Ford:Holden so there is no bias there)

Yeah, better I am now feeling, although I'm not right yet. Ah well, another day off tomorrow to try to get better (athletics carnival).
