Miniland MadnessjawaproThu 24/01/2013 09:59 PM
There were some awesome Miniland scale models on display. This is the scale favoured by Legoland displays.
You can get some awesome character into these models!
Off to the wedding :)
This family have obviously just been to Brickvention!

Brickvention CosplayjawaproThu 24/01/2013 09:58 PM
Hey - it's a bunch of Jawas! Three Jawas and one Jawapro!
Brickvention attracts a range of cosplayers who walk through the crowd and encourage photos. Adds to the convention experience.
Some are there to raise money for charity, others seem to be there just for fun.
Truely awesome costumes!

Just a short picture-heavy post of Snuffy's visit to Brickvention.
Here he is besides my M:Tron display.
Making friends with the R2 units.
Auditioning for an old-school monster film.

Snuffy and the royal flying navy.
Umm - are we related?
Seeing eye-to-eye with Tigger.
Big Ben isn't that big!
All aboard!
Who said we won't get to Sydney this trip!
Plotting with the enemy.
I hope I won't get in trouble for being up here....
Digging a hole....
Build a bridge and get over it!
Snuffybirds are go!
It's a Great Ball Contraption!
Look at the size of that thing!
Prepare for lift-off!

Snuffy's Grand Tour - Day 6jawaproTue 22/01/2013 04:08 PM
This is what we came for - Brickvention 2013!
Today was the convention day - that's the day where we all get to have fun, play games, listen to speakers, and just chill out. Of course, it's also the day to finish getting all the displays organized.
Jason and Wes's first attempt at Build-in-the-Bag. Jason had to phone a friend for help.
Wes took a wrong turn and ended up on the Death Star!
Saying hi to a friend who bounced in.
The Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne - the new home of Brickvention. Far larger than the Town Hall - so for once we had room to breath!

Snuffy's Grand Tour - Day 5jawaproTue 22/01/2013 04:00 PM
We'd checked the weather yesterday and knew that today was supposed to be an absolute stinker - so we woke ourselves up early and broke camp before the sun could get itself organized.
Lego awaits!
We were ready to roll, until Jason realised his car wouldn't start. Subaru to the rescue!
This sign was in the lake below the caravan park. Don't they realise how tempting that sign is? I want to try driving across the lake now!
Jason was in the lead and got lost and ended up in the middle ages.
Castle Snuffy!
I found one! I'd already spotted a couple of 50 series Cruisers - but I finally found a G60 as we went through the small town of Ballan. We'd decided to try some back-roads, and it paid off!
Today was stupidly hot. I was very glad I had working aircon - more than I can say for Jason's Patrol. It certainly wasn't a pleasant temperature.
Back to the same caravan park we'd stayed in the first night - and then to the Brickvention hall for the setup night.
Don't worry - there will be plenty of Lego posts coming!
Thus ended Day 5.
