Fantastic news - my aircon in the Pajero finally works properly. Driving to Launceston last night it actually got too cold for me to be comfortable (frostbite temp for normal folk). After two repair attempts to get it going I was so happy I celebrated by leaving it on full bore. My hands were going numb - it was truely awesome!

Did you have to pay for the second repair, or did they do it under warranty considering it didn't work the first time?

Still had to pay for the regas - but it was a lot cheaper. Really annoyed with myself that I accepted everyone's theory that I couldn't tell just because the days were cold. If I'd taken it back earlier I would have had a much better case to get it repaired for free.They couldn't find any leaks so added some dye to the gas and checked it again (this time it was free) but couldn't find any leaks then either.

Oh well - at least it's working now. Speaking of cold temperatures, you would have loved some of my Bushwalking camp - first day, every night and every morning were like 6 degrees!
