Brickvention is over for another year. And it was fantastic!
Don and Mike (two cousins from opposite sides of the family) joined me this year, and Jason came along for a cheap trip to Melbourne.
Brickvention had moved venues to a much large one - the Melbourne Town Hall. And again, we had an insane number of people turn up for the public day.
When people arrived at the hall, the end of the queue was quite close to the door. Good right? Well, not so much, the queue went all the way around the block and almost doubled back on itself! People were estimating about 2 hrs waiting in the queue before you’d even get in. And still people waited. How many people would have turned around and gone home? It was insane!
But once you survived the queue, the convention was brilliant. I’ll be uploading photos over the next few days. I sort of need a chance to recover first. The camping West Coast trip, having Turkey stay (waiting for a tow home), preparing for Brickvention, having Don and Jason stay on Thursday, Brickvention itself (and the two daytime sailings to get there) - I feel I haven’t stopped for breath in weeks.
But it was totally worth it!
