Although it might feel like the world should stop turning and let you grieve, it dosnt.
Things continue to happen.
And today was C-Day at work.
I'm not sure if C stands for Charles, or CEO, but either way....
Our new CEO had his first day in the Devonport Office (actually, his first day in either office). So we'd put some effort in earlier in the week (and some the week before) and tidied the IT area up. In fact, as I wasnt there yesterday due to the funeral, it felt really odd going to work - cause it all looked different.
We met Charles breifly when he was doing his tour of the office. He seemed like a nice bloke - and said we didnt look like IT people. We look too normal apparently. I'm not sure if that should flatter me or offend me.
He also said we didnt need to wear ties to work anymore. I'm not entirely sure if he's joking or not. Our old CEO was pretty strict about that sort of thing apparently - so things could change with Charles in the big seat now.
As long as he dosnt decide to fire us all and out-source IT....
