On Saturday Dad and I went to Shearwater Motorcycles and finally collected the Vespa I won ages ago in the Microsoft competition.

Michael (my old boss) is buying the Vespa from me (I have more use of the money than the bike) and he came through when we collected it too. I had $1000 as part of the prize to spend at the shop, so Michael bought himself a helmet, jacket, gloves, top-box, etc. He's going to pay me back for them.

And I bought myself a couple of Havoc videos, and a Vespa keyring.

And when we got the Vespa back to my parents place, I took it for a little spin. I dont have a bike licence, so I could only drive around the yard - but at least I can say I've ridden it now.

That's a roflcopter moment!

So was it them that had the huge lag in getting it to you, or was it that you just couldn't be bothered going to pick it up? And I suppose the term "Thank you Microsoft" can finally be used non-sarcastically (probably the first time!)

I think they need to lose the boof, but not totally lose them. That would be like Ferrari no longer using a prancing horse! But they are a bit much at the moment!

No one likes my sideburns?

Well - I do. At least they make my face slightly interesting and ugly, instead of just being ugly.

But its interesting that they get as much comment as the vespa....

I thought they got more, but that could just be me! And I didn't say I don't like them, I do! They're great, I just think that taming the beast could be a good idea. But also, I don't think it honestly matters that much. You without sideburns would be so wrong. It would be like grapes without chocolate sauce!
