Space Shuttle Expedition #10231 - took over 3 hours to build this beauty!

I plan to take it to the expo next weekend - it adds some night height to displays that are normally quite low.

Still not sure about the way the landing gears pokes through - I think I'll have to modify that later...

Quite a good build - and an awful lot of pieces for the money. Especially when you got it on special!

I'm not sure how long this thing's run was - I've only seen 1 in Kmart once. But I think they should re-release it to commemorate Neil Armstrong - I know the shuttle's not exactly Apollo 11, but they could include a minifig. Alternatively, they should just make an Apollo 11. Have they ever actually done a space series like this? I remember a couple of sets, but I think that might have just been tucked in with City.
