Oscar gets cold

Oscar has air-con again!

After a couple of trips without it - it was my number one priority to get fixed. Then I broke the clutch etc, so it was pushed down the list a little.

But now that the car is running again, I took Oscar into Drive Automotive and Marine who do aircons, and they managed to get it going again. There were some leaks, broken wiring, and the guy said it hadn't been working in years. The guy who sold me the Pajero said it had died recently, so I'm not sure who to believe, but regardless, it's going again now.

It could still be colder (I like things COLD!) but it's a lot better than it was without air-con.

It's so warm in Melbourne that I wish I'd brought Oscar just so I could sit in the air-conditioning. That's the only downside of a cheaper hotel - it gets hot and doesnt cool down very well.

Air con has never been the same since they banned CFCs. The gases they use, while not too bad, are not as awesome and cold as the older ones. That being said, they can still run at 3.5 degrees, according to the mechanic who did the Laser recently... Not that the Laser works any more...
