It Estate Order - part 1Author: jawapro

Well - finally the ItEstate order turned up. Unfourtuantly it wasnt complete. It's missing all the harddrives. The guy on the phone had said it would need two boxes, but it's a little strange that only one turned up today. If the other one dosnt get here tomorrow - I'll be ringing up and complaining.
Far out that's a lot of money for not much stuff though. The red graphics card cost over $500 (Martian Leader). Mine wasnt cheap either - but only set me back $350ish.
The yellow box is my new PSU, which cost me around $250. Its a little much for a power supply, but I wanted to get a decent one seeing I was going to be running so much high endish gear off it.
I also bought myself a new keyboard. My current one isnt bad - but isnt as cool as the rest of my stuff, and it sounds like PS2 will be disapearing off motherboards pretty soon - so it's time I upgrade to a USB keyboard. Not that I can use it on my current machine, cause all the USB slots are full!
Because some of the order couldnt be filled due to no stock, I had over-paid. So I added some cheap RAM to the order to throw into my current machine to improve it a bit while I wait for Intel to release their new Yorkfield processors so I can finish upgrading.
Hurry up Intel!
Anyway - sorry to any non-geeks out there who either had no idea what I'm talking about, or were bored out of their socks by this post. Maybe the next one will be more interesting for you.
