Well - my X-box arrived last night. Quite exciting.

Unfourtuantly no games came with it - so the excitment didnt really last long. I've got some games comming - they just havent arrived yet.

It does have a demo of Project Gotham Racing 3 (apparently I'm getting PGR 4 soon, along with DoA 4 - thanks MS!). But only a few cars and 2 tracks - so that didnt last long.

So I went across the river into town to the local video shop to try and rent a game (far out they're expensive!) and discovered I couldnt sign up for a video card because all my id has my old address. So now I'm trying to snipe a copy of Oblivion on ebay. But still no games to play for a while.

But at least there's an Xbox on my floor now - something to show for the days spent making the lego movie.

I hope you get some games for it soon and it makes you happy. You really should have asked Microsoft for a PS3 though, just to see what their reaction would be!

But that is something I would do for the sheer heck of it!

I havent played Oblivion yet - but I've seen other people play it.

The graphics are great, and the game looks fun. But unfourtuantly it doesnt have the sort of team play that made Baulder's Gate so much fun. I think that game let you have your character, plus 5 other characters to join in your quest. It was heaps of fun. And I dont mean multi-player, I mean 5 NPC characters. And you could find 20 or so characters to choose from, but only 5 could join you at any one time.

KOTOR 1 and 2 let you have 2 other people with you, but it wasnt done as well. In BG the other characters would argue, flirt, and whatever with each other as you traveled around. They just felt so alive.

I didnt like the overall story in BG, but the team dynaics were so good that I still havent found a game that can equal them.

I just hope that Starcraft II comes out soon. It looks so good. They have managed to keep the originals gameplay while making it look better and adding more stuff. That's how it appeared from the gameplay trailer I watched a couple of days ago!

We are in the time of good games, I tell you!

While never being as much of a Starcraft fan as most people, I'm definatly looking forward to the sequel.

And Blizzard has a good reputation for making great games - so it should be good.

And there's an expansion pak comming out for CnC3 which I'm looking forward to. It might not have lived up to some of the earlier games, but I still enjoyed it.

I haven't played CnC3 yet, so I don't really know what its like. Starcraft on the other hand is the only game we have ever bought twice! Mind you , we haven't had the reason to for long either, as I've only really had a computer in the last 2 years, and a decent one for a bit under a year. Speaking of which , I better take it back for its warranty stuff before it runs out!

Oh, and there are other games I am planning on buying a second copy of soon. Its so frustrating not being able to play online with Big Bro at the same time!

I'll probably preorder Starcraft II, it looks good enough for that honour! It will be our second preorder.

There're arnt that many games I'm hanging out for at the moment. The expansion for CnC and Force Unleashed (which is a good reason to own an Xbox), but that's about it at the moment. Oh, and Starcraft 2.

As for pre-ordering, I've done it with 2 games. CnC3, and Supreme Commander. Both strategy games, and both fantastic. Although, SupCom is too impressive for my computer, so I havent played it much. Got to the second level, but once I got an army built and went to battle, the game slowed to a crawl and was unplayable.

There's just not much else on the radar that's got me excited at the moment. But I'm sure that will change...
